Mechanisms of origination and social influence of extremely low frequency Earth’s electric fields of conservative type and very low frequency spinning electric fields of vortical type are considered in the article. It’s shown that the first category (conservative fields) of natural fields overlaps the spectrum of own frequencies of human organism and can disturb pace of organism.
Unlike well-known technical rotating fields, spinning electric fields of natural origination can be considered as a new class of phenomena. Their potential social impact is based on special physical properties of rotating electric fields.
Evolution of mankind on Earth took place in natural electromagnetic fields (EMF).
Earth’s currents, electromagnetic radiation of Van-Allen belts and natural cavity resonators predetermined EMF spectrum in which everything living evolved.
In particular, electrical activity of human brain is related to extremely low frequency (ELF) Schumann waves, extracted by the closed, 40000 km, Earth-ionosphere resonator. According to International Band Designators, ELF range is 3-30Hz.
On the other hand, same resonator has another, a short-range mode, extracted between Earth’s surface and a floor of the ionosphere, 50-80km above. It supports very low frequencies, VLF, 3-30kHz. Quantitative difference between both modes brings to their different qualitative action on mankind.
The profound impact of Earth’s magnetic fields on living organisms is fundamentally considered in [1].
Unlike vortical magnetic fields, influence of Earth’s conservative electric fields is less studied, partially because of difficulties of overcoming artifacts associated with electric fields produced by an operator (simple grounding the operator’s body doesn’t eliminate the problem completely and isn’t acceptable sometimes).

Figure 1. Spectrum of the electric component of Earth’s EMF in a room
Fig.1, (February 2003, USA), illustrates the said above. The blue lower line shows the original not-disturbed spectrum, while the bright upper line is a result of influence of turbulent water.
VLF-portion reveals some resonant bands. Most perceptible of them is 6kHz maximum. Industrial spike of 60Hz (USA) and its harmonics are obviously seen.
During the last century, industrial EMF added to natural fields.
The major danger of Earth-generated fields is based on the two following factors:
Both the factors destabilize normal functioning organisms. In particular, the spectrum of Earth’s fields overlaps that of electroencephalography (EEG).
Scientists have shown influence of technogenic ELF electromagnetic fields on humans. Their impact can be dramatic: they entrain brain waves, considerably altering them[2-4].
However, Earth’s own fields can produce even more drastic results than localized industrial fields, because they cover extremely vast areas of human habiting.
It’s commonly accepted in physiology to admit the following relation between brain waves of different frequencies and the associated physiological states:

A simple comparison of Fig.1 and the table above reveals matching the frequency band in the table with the originated ELF spectrum induced by turbulent water.
The comparison underlines the social importance of the problem: natural sources can produce ELF fields which dangerously match in spectrum that of human organisms while being more powerful.
Majority of ELF-researches deals with magnetic component of natural fields. Its action is based on originating a vortical electric field, which has low amplitude at such the low frequencies. The originated field, in turn, causes passing electric current (so called eddy current) through the cells, disturbing their normal functioning.
Alternating conservative electric fields of natural origination are of great interest: their strength can be compatible to Earth’s own field ~130V/m. Their impact can drastically exceed that of the vortical low-frequency fields.
Naturally-originated alternating electric charges cover vast areas, producing great integrative contribution in originated alternating field in every point. However, unlike the vortical/solenoidal fields, they produce a displacement current rather than the eddy current. This can cause a difference in mechanisms of their impact which has not been studied yet.
Generally, surface electric charges s, scattered on area S, induce potential j in arbitrary point r of the media, having dielectric permittivity e:
(1)
The conservative Earth’s fields can induce such the under-crania electric potentials, which drastically exceed that of the brain. As it’s known, under-crania potential reaches as much as 1-10 mV, while a 100 V/m external field can induce much more considerable potential. Indeed, a brain is a heterogeneous structure, where conductive areas alternate with non-conductive gaps. Therefore, a local field in the physiological gaps can drastically exceed the external electric field.
Mechanisms of origination of Earth’s ELF electric field were proposed earlier by the author [6,7] and developed here. Beside well-known natural mechanisms of ELF EMF, 2 major environmental mechanisms can be considered: parametric oscillations and motion conversion.
Parametric oscillations
manifest themselves through so-called secondary sources:
surface electric charges, which origin on a border between two medias in a
primary field of some source. Field of the secondary sources add to the original
field. If
and
are
adjacent dielectric permittivities, one of which varies, then a normal component
En of the original field forms surface charges
(2)
Then, taking into consideration
expression (1), a time-varying potential at an arbitrary point r can be
shown as joint contribution of all adjacent points of the border interaction on
a surface S:
(3)
For the Nature, electrophysical
properties of the media can be shown as a complex dielectric permittivity
.
Generally,
.
In the Nature, turbulent waters are a
perfect source of such the oscillations. For water, having
,
its turbulent flowing with alternating air gaps can form considerable
alternating electric field as much as 100V/m, according to the formula (3). It’s
obviously shown in a left portion of Fig.1: turbulent water increases strength
of ELF-portion of the spectrum as much as 100 times. Look like the special role
of water in dowsing [5] can be explained with this mechanism.
Considering a social aspect of this type of oscillations, we have to note that existence of pathogenic zones is related to presence of subterranean waters. In turn, as the numerous researches have shown, water veins, especially their crossing, are liable for various health-related problems and road accidents.
For instance, if a car moves with speed of 60 km/h (37.3 miles/h, 16.7m/s) along trees spaced 10 m apart, then its driver is exposed to alternating electric field of 1.7Hz, which corresponds to brain delta waves, correlated with a sleep effect. It is easy to verify that joint action of automobile speeds and spacing inside trees falls on delta (up to 4Hz) waves, which can provoke sleep. Drivers can be exposed to such an influence during hours, what is potentially dangerous.
Another example: a flow of subterranean water comprises the bubbles, which collapse pretty frequently, generating even higher frequencies, which correspond to theta waves, 4-8 Hz, associated with drowsiness, hypnosis, lucid dreaming and light sleep.
The considered above fields are predominantly conservative.
Fig.2 shows correlation between human electroencephalogram and electric oscillations in the experiments carried out by the author.

Figure 2b. Human EEG recorded with a digital encephalograph
Virtually, each disease has its own EEG-pattern, which sometimes is seen on EEG-record even before the clinical symptoms appear [9]. Taking into consideration danger of the organ waves entrainment by external fields, we believe that studying patterns of Earth’s ELF activity along with EEG monitoring can be socially beneficial.
VLF-action of the Natural EMF is related to phenomenon of a spinning electric vector, SEV [6-8].
The SEV is formed by superposition of two AC fields, extracted by a natural resonator within VLF band, and then gained a phase shift j. Its spinning S is a vector value, which depends on the parent vectors E1 and E2:
(4)
Fig.1 shows the resonant VLF-band at 6kHz, a what’s more, the frequency of its maximum can vary depending on condition of the ionosphere.
SEV is a material object, having angular momentum, and, therefore, it can be defined as a virtual gyroscope [8].
N.A Kozyrev, prominent Soviet astrophysicist (1908-1983), has shown gravity reduction effects in his experiments with mechanical gyroscopes, which was confirmed by other researchers. Gravity is a distortion of space-time curvature. Therefore, origination of natural SEV can indicate some anomalies. Geo-faults, natural heterogeneities, corners and other factors can stimulate origination of SEV. To study this phenomenon, spinning electric vector analyzer, SEVA, was developed by the author. Fig.3 shows a trace of SEV, recorded at a metal corner, on a screen of the oscilloscope. Precession of the spinning is well seen.

Figure 3. SEV at the corner of a metal box
Nature of SEV relates it with non-electromagnetic spin fields. In particular, axion field generators by A. Shpilaman cause heavy SEV, and what is more, there is a spinning electric process remaining for hours after turning off the axion generators. The last confirms conception of the field-gyroscope and give to SEV credits of profound phenomenon, which can’t be ignored by society.
The author has developed special means to study both Earth’s and industrial EMF fields [10].
To study ELF EMF, the instrument having low-pass filter, 0-38 Hz, was developed. The instrument has both electric and magnetic sensors and analog indication.
For studying spinning fields, SEV, another instrument was developed: Spinning Electric Vector Analyzer, SEVA. The instrument comprises a quadrupole sensor with two pairs of mutually orthogonal plates, connected to two parallel channels of band-pass filters having VLF center frequency. The next stages of the instrument measure a phase shift between the signal at output of the channels, their amplitude and then calculate spinning S. Fig.1, representing the experimental data of the author, shows obvious 6 kHz- resonance in Earth’s cavity resonator formed by Earth’s surface and floor of ionosphere. This predetermined adjustment of central frequencies of the filters.
The experiments with both the instruments revealed both industrial fields and Earth’s fields. In cities, they superimpose on each other. However, it was possible to separate them.
The following are just some of the experimental results of ELF-research:
The experiments with SEVA revealed industrial and natural spinning fields. In cities, harmonics of industrial frequency furnish conditions for developing spinning fields.
· The experiments in the rure revealed spots of SEV-activity. It has to be said, that this activity depends on a season, time of a day, weather and other factors. The experiments with the digital spectrum analyzer, Fig.1, have revealed seasonable variation of the VLF 6kHz ionosphere resonance, which partially explains these facts.
· It’s interesting to note that origination of SEV depends on patterns of distribution of objects in our vicinity: chaotically placed objects provoke origination of SEV, which was registered by the instrument. Taking into consideration that the originated spinning can be either clockwise or counterclockwise (in terms of auspicious/inauspicious), the relation of this phenomenon to postulates of Feng Shui becomes obvious.
· SEV can be likened to a gyroscope, having angular momentum and experiencing a precession. Fig.3 shows an oscilloscope image of SEV originated at the corner of the metal box in a room. The picture obviously reveals the precession. The axion field-SEV-relation experiments, conducted by the author in November 2006 revealed the phenomenon of remaining rotation of SEV after switching off the axion generator.
· The experiments on correlation between axion fields and SEV conducted in November 2006, reveals social importance of the natural spinning fields phenomenon and stimulates the further research.
The considered above conservative ELF and vortical VLF fields are related to a social factor. It’s shown that Earth can produce ~100 V/m alternating electric fields due to mechanisms of parametric oscillations and motion conversion. Their spectrum matches that of human organism. The induced by them under-crania potential can exceed that of the brain. Therefore, big groups of people can be exposed to brain waves entrainment factors, which can influence their health and social behavior.
Unlike ELF electric fields, action of natural VLF spinning fields is based on more subtle mechanism of space-time distortions. Field rotation possesses gyroscopic properties, which in-turn, can influence space-time reality, as this showed N.A. Kozyrev. The instruments for studying these fields on landscape were developed. The experiments with the instruments revealed spots of electromagnetic activity of both types.
